I really need some help. I've just purchased a custom chopper, basically a kit bike--and I can't find anyone to insure it for a reasonable price. Most won't even give me a quote. Progressive wanted $3600 a year. The bike is valued at $16,000.00 and I live in Louisiana if that helps.

I have a Bourget Fat Daddy and I'm insured through State Farm. Bike valued at $47K. Monthly payments of $150. And I'm.... in a "old people" category.

Try Foremost insurance.

Geico and Progressive generally won't give full coverage for customs.

i own a 2006 big dog k-9 motorcycle and paid 34,000 dollars for it and geico fully insured it v for just over 400 dollars a year. i don't know your age or driving record, but my record is clean and am 52 years old, which i think helps. i would give them a try. you can get a quote over the internet.
