Like he said, need more info. Good thing about the Fizzers is that a majority of the parts are interchangeable. Good chance that nearly any year 600 will work. One thing you can do is go to a parts fiche, like bikebandit.com and compare years. Sometimes even though the part number may not be identical, it will still work (but confirm that first!). For example, it was a straight swap for putting a 94 clutch assembly into my 87. The 600s are quite a bit different from the 750 and 1000cc machines, so chances of the same year, but being a 1000, will not work.

Best bet would be to keep an eye on Ebay. Other option is to take the starter into a car parts store. If it's just the solenoid that's bad they may have something that will work with it. I've heard it being done before, and with alternators as well. I doubt they'd have a cross reference for it, but a Yamaha dealer might. Of course they may say no in hopes you'll buy from them.

I don't want to post the link directly on here for fear of spammers, so I'll send you an email with a link to a FZR board I belong to. Should be able to find out your answer there, and maybe even find the parts you're looking for.

Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer.
The year could make a big difference.
What's a starter ignition? Starter solenoid?
