The dealer wants $200.00 to get him a key......I lost a key to my Harley & was able to get a key with proof of ownership & vin number. Is Yamaha ripping him off?

ok, i just got a bike and ive read some articals talking about how easily these bikes are stollen just by picking them up and putting them in the back of a truck. so i guess my question is what does the yahoo comunity think the best way to walk into the store without thinking every 5 sec that mabey someone is stealling my bike.... some suggestions ive had are:
insurence, lojack, pager security.... im looking for something thats cheep but will get the job done. mabey insurece is just the best way to go????

If it's a custom build and I'm not a manufacture, then I can only have 1 a lifetime and not sell it for 5 years. I was hoping to get a vin or whatever is needed so it's like OCC choppers or someone built it and it can be sold whenever, and I can build another if I want. I haven't registered it yet or anything.

I'm going to buy a Bike. One of the two mentioned above. Which one is better on the street? I.E. Cornering, speed, fun, handling, ect. Does any magazine have a look at both bikes?
