-Right side of motor, loosen clutch cable lock nuts.
-Remove cable from holder and clutch push lever.
-Loosen clutch cable locknut at handlebar clutch lever.
-Screw adjuster bolt all the way in and line up the slots on the nut & adjuster with the slot in the clutch lever perch.
-Pull the cable through the slot and remove from the clutch lever.
-While the old cable is still on the bike, route the new cable the same way.
-Install the cable in the lever, pull through the slots and turn the adjuster a bit so the slots aren't aligned (to keep the cable from falling out).
-Install the cable on the push lever.
-Install the cable on the bracket and tighten the locknuts. when adjusting the locknuts, the clutch lever (handlebars) should have about 1/4" (8mm) of free play (can pull in the lever until there's tension on the cable).
-Fine tune the free play with the adjuster and lock nut on the clutch lever perch. Adjust so there's 1/8" (4mm) of free play. It's better to be loose than tight.
-Tighten the locknut, making sure the slots on the adjuster and nut don't line up with the slot in the perch. You don't want the cable to fall out.
-Remove the old cable.
-Go for a ride and readjust the cable if needed.
