I've replaced the ignition switch, neutral safety switch, checked the wiring to the starter (shorting the solenoid turns the starter). It is a daily driver, my work truck, jumped in it Sunday to move it and nothing when you turn the key, no idiot lights nothing, battery is good ( checked with charger 100% 13.5 V)

I have a 93 Accord, 5 spd man trans. I can get the car to start but it will not go into gear, or into reverse. No hoses are broken that I can see, all fluid levels are where they should be, does this mean I have to replace the clutch?

I'm rebuiding my boat interior and all the wood was rotted out so i've taken it out and replaced it all and now I'm applying the fiberglass over the wood. Will 1 coat do the trick or should I apply more? And do I need to put the fiberglass mat over the cloth for extra protection? I'm new to this and trying to learn from scratch any advice will be extremely helpful!

I've been having issues with it not starting and we think it is the fuel pump, but not sure where to find it or how to get to it.

I got my oil changed the other day and now when the car gets good and warm/hot, it smells like burnt oil. Did they spill it all over or should I be worried?

i have a 88 mustang 5.0l with tons of mods, the car runs and drives great, with the exception of this smoke, its only done it twice, and ive narrow it down to both times the car had about 1.5 to 2 gallons of gas, (mustangs only have a 12 gallon tank, i fill it everyday just about), but with the gas that low the car will smoke a thick white smoke, not oil or coolant burning i know those smokes, but more a heavy white smoke that smells almost of kerosene, after i fill it up with fuel 93 octane or higher its fine.....any clues???

Some days it's fine and the next it's not working again. Sometimes all the gauges stop working. What is going on ? How much cost will the repair be?

If the valves are bent, do you think the whole engine needs to be replaced or just the valves and what kind of long term damage can that do?

460 Big Block Ford from 1970. Noise from the left bank made me pull the valve cover and have a look. I bent a push rod, and I was able to retrieve it ok, even after it fell into the valley. I replaced it with a new one and it immediately broke after restart. So, I guess the lifter isn't lifting at all. Short of pulling off the top of the engine (intake manifold and all and replacing the lifters), does anyone have any recommendations for getting this unstuck from above...WD40? Transmission fluid poured down pushrod shaft? Beat on it???

so I test drove a 1988 BMW and i was wondering if it is normal to have to pump the gas to start a car that is older. After you start it, it runs fine. If not what could the problem be and expense to fix. Basically should I buy this car?
