The dome lights won't turn off once the van gets wet from rain. When I get out I have to disconnect the battery so it won't be drained over night. The lights only do this when it rains. I went throught the car wash and they didn't do it. After about a day or so they'll finally cut off after they dry out I guess. They've done this about 6 times. But I don't wanna be shopping and come out to find my battery's dead and be stranded because of this. What can I do?

I have a hux nut screwed onto a threaded shaft that I cannot remove. One side of the shaft has a very flat disk (like a push pin) and the other side has the nut screwed on. When I try to loosen the nut, the whole thing rotates. I cannot grab onto the flat disk well enough to hold the shaft stationary while turning the nut . I also cannot grab on the the shaft because there is not enough room. Is there a way to get the nut loose?

I have a 10-yr old Honda Civic coupe and I need to fix a dent on its door. It is not a very deep dent, but about 8" wide. My questions are as follows:
1) Autozone tried to pull it out with their suction cup, but that did not seem to work. Is there an alternative to taking it to the body shop?
2) The guy at Autozone said these things must be fixed asap or they dont pop out as easily. Is that true?
3) Is it complicated to get rid of the scratches above the tire next to the dent?
4) The plastic strip on the side of the door fell out when the car got dented. I have the intact strip, can I superglue it back?

Has anyone tried the fuel genie? Does it seem to increase horsepower and gas mileage? Do any automotive experts have proof that it does or doesn't work?

I was driving, and put the window down, and heard a ka-plunk sound, then when I tried to raise it, nothing happened, though it still cycled up and down. At home, my husband manually raised it and there was a crease streak. Pont. dealership man said "gota look at it first", could be a regulator $400-500. Could there be a cheaper fix? Thanks.

Does anyone know which one would most likely cause this symptom? I was thinking the pedal position sensor sounded the most likely, but I am no mechanic. Help

What would cause my 2004 Chevrolet Classic (I believe it is a car made for rental car companies (etc.) and is very similar, if not identical, to the 2003 Chevrolet Malibu) with 64,000 miles (mostly highway) to shake like crazy while braking at highway speeds. I had this problem with my 02 Cavalier and balancing/rotating the tires corrected the shake. So, I had the tires balanced/rotated on this one. I purchased the car in 2004 with 28,000 miles on it and have not changed the brake pads or rotors, if that helps. I've seen that as a possible answer, but wondered what else it could be or if anyone has had the same problem with the same vehicle. Is this something that needs taken care of right away? Money is tight right now and if I can get by (SAFELY) with putting it off, I'd like to. Any suggestions or answers would be MUCH appreciated! Thank you!
