any thoughts? (i am talking about the interior of the car)

I have a 2003 Saturn Vue, 74,000 miles, 2 year old battery, original altenator, and original starter. Went to start up the SUV, and it would not start. There was a ticking noise and all accessories worked.

The SUV is a 5 spd so I rolled it down a hill to get it started by popping the clutch. Took to Autozone. They tested the electrical system: Battery was dead but passed, altenator tested ok and appeared not to be producing enough amperage to charge the battery, starter worked fine. Ran car for 2 hours, had system tested again, same results.

What was wrong and what eventually needed to be replaced?

I could not pass emissions so I had to replace a crankhaft sensor my friend did that,the dealer said drive it 100 miles and check engine light will go off IT DIDNT so the question is the parts place checked the code is not showing up anymore so it is fixed and I can pass emissons now but they wont let me go through the test if the light is on....HELP

this morning i drove my truck to work and the oil gage was a little more than have way. it seems like when I com to a stop or slow down " not every time" but the oil gage just drop all the way down and the the oil light comes on. then I take off it goes back up what can this be. I havent yet checked the oil because I was already late for work.

My problem has got slowly worse over the last couple of months,the revs went up and down slightly,then it started stalling and now it is pulling back on me very badly.Also when i restart it after it stalled there is a smell of petrol.Can anyone help.PEASE

I recently purchased a 98 ford windstar. sometimes when I start it up it idles really rough and occasionally dies. when I am stopped (in gear) and I give it a little gas, the tackometer goes up, and then down under 500 rpms and the oil light flickers. it runs fine once I get moving, it's just when I am stopped or going really slow. I was going to put fuel injector cleaner in, but I figured I would check the fule filter too. is there any way to tell if it needs to be replaced?

I'm getting frustrated trying to loosen the bolt of the Crank pulley. I try to block it using a screwdriver in a hole while using a wrench to loose the bold... and the screwdriver was bended ... suggestions please !

my corsa is not ticking over E.S.M (Engine System Managment) light is coming on at low rpm then cutting out/ stalling. dose anyone have any sugestions?

It is also puttering/sputtering as if I haven't warmed it up on a cold day - or as if it were running out of gas.

It's an old Volvo with 90K+ miles. I hope it's a simple fix!

Does this sound about right? They said 8 hrs labor at 78.00 an hour. Then the other costs are the parts. Anyone every had this type of work done? Is the car even worth fixing with 123,000 miles???

Update on previous 1995 Ford fuel pump search. The fuel pump didn't need resetting. Thank you all with your help to find the pump. The engine doesn't even respond to me turning the ignition. None of the needles or guages respond, and I'm thinking that maybe the starter solenoid or ignition switch is possibly screwed up. How would I troubleshoot my situation????

I rebuilt my 360 AMC, have gone through everthing with quality parts, but between 55mph-65mph it begins to backfire and sputter and wants to die unless I let off the gas. I've tried two different new carburetors, and even put a new MSD iginition system on it to replace the old Ford setup.

My car makes a funny vibration/sound from 13-20 mph. It increases with speed, but goes away after 20 mph. I think it my be the wheel bearing on the front drivers side.

Anyway the sound is like whoo whoo whoo.....

and I can feel the vibration in my left foot when it is on the foot rest

My car sputters and stalls every time i'm about to park it, like whenever I turn into a parking space just before i fully stop the entire thing will start to go crazy, this happenes sometimes at stop signs too. Any ideas why? It's a 92 civic

I have a 1995 Camaro with a V-6 and a manual transmission. When I put the car into 1st gear or switch into 2nd gear and I hit the accelerator after letting out the clutch, the car tends to want to buck or jump instead of smoothly accelerationg. It acts like something is loose. I'm wondering if it's the transmission itself or possibly some joint between the transmission and the rear axle. Does anyone know of any common Camaro problems of the 93-96 models that might be the cause?

My car(99civic hx) have a loud noise coming from the Exhaust. If the car is in park and I step on the gas, I don't hear that kind of noise, but when I'm on the road, 40mph and up, it starts to make a loud noise like big truck reducing speed from 4th gear to 3rd gear. I replaced the muffler, the gasket, and another gasket on the other end of extension pipe,under the engine (no holes). But the noise still there. It stop only if I turn right at a curve. Where the noise is coming from and how can I fix it? Please don't tell me to go to a garage. Thanks

I have been wokring on an old 84 rabbit convertible. I have it to the point now where the car is mechanically sound (atleast for now, you never know with these older cars). The vinyl top is in tators and needs to be replaced (planning on doing that myself), and the car will need to be repainted. I would like to get the top replaced first, because it is not kept in a garage (i have a waterproog, breathable cover protecting it now when it rains or snows).

I am worried about any inevitable overspray hitting the top (black top, white paint), but I should be able to get any overspray off with a toothbrush or similar device and some solvent, right?
