Just got a 2002 Acura RSX. A couple days after the purchase it because very difficult to get the car in gear when cold and also hard to shift gears sometimes. Do I need a new clutch? Also I had it inspected by an acura specialist prior to buying it and they didn't mention the clutch. Should I bring it back to them?

I just ordered four tires online for my f150 and was wondering where I could take my truck to have the old tires taken off and the new ones installed with mounting and balancing? I read somewhere online that Walmart will install tires that weren't purchased from them, but it says carry in only. Does this mean I have to take the wheels off my truck and bring them to the store with the new tires or can I just bring in my new tires along with my truck and have them swapped out? Has anyone done anything similar? Any advice is appreciated. I'm going to call tomorrow, but wanted some ideas now. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

I got a letter in the mail stating that it was time to bring my Honda in for a 10,000 maintenance check. I took it and they checked the battery, hoses, fluid levels and changed the oil. They went to rotate and balance my tires and the tech showed me excessive wear on the rear tires in the inside. He said it looked as if I had over 30,000 miles on these tires. I told him that I take care of my vehicle (I have had it since July 06) and why would it look like that He said it may need an alignment. I don't understand why it would need an alignment so soon because I treat this car as if it were a baby! I was reading the warranty book and it looks like they will cover it if there is no more than 12,000 miles on it. Should I pay for an alignment. Should I put up a fight and make them pay? Also, what other causes would cause a car to wear the tires like this and need an alignment so soon?

P.S Also I'm a woman that doesn't know alot about cars so please explain. Thanks!!!

I have a 2000 Chevy Cavalier with about 60,000 miles on it. I use regular grade pennzoil 5w30 motor oil, and a fram sure grip oil filter. About 95% of my driving is in suburban areas and less than 10 miles. Do I still have to change my oil every 3 months or 3000 miles or is that just a myth?

I bought an Explorer XLT with the Factory warranty, that is still in effect, plus the extended warranty, which is Ford's version of the bumper to bumper. My question is this, the lumbar support int he driver's seat seems to have broken, will the warranty cover that? and how do they fix it, does the seat have to be replaced or what?
I don't want to say anything to my husband yet b/c he will hit the rough, it's only a few weeks old!
Plus, does anyone know if these lumbar supports aren't really made to be used, more for just saying it has it? Like I said, it's only a few weeks old and it already broke. But I really like a firm chari on my back!
Thanks for any help!

I'm thinking of buying a 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid... I've been wanting a Hybrid for a while, but my dad heard somewhere that the special batteries used to run the car (not the typical car battery) have to be replaced every 3 years and they cost $3000. Is this true? I have spoken with people who have Toyota hybrids, and they all say this isn't, and they're warrantied if they do break. Does anybody have any info on the facts? I want a hybrid, but I don't want to pay $3000 every few years for a new battery!

I have several newer 04+ Pontiac Grand Prix that are in the process of being rebuilt that require front crossmembers to be replaced. This part is not available in my area. Will any other crossmember from any other kind of car fit these grand prix's? I've heard several things, including that sway bars would need to be replaced but I would like to know if anybody knows anything concrete. Thanks in advance, -JD

I replaced my 5 yr old battery about two months ago. The new one worked fine for about three weeks, then when I left it overnight at my friends house it died. I jumped it and it worked fine for a few more weeks, but then it began to die again once I left it for more than a couple of hours. I figured I had a parasitic draw, so I took the car in to get my system checked out. The shop ran all the tests, found no draw, but concluded that the battery was defective. So I got another battery and again it worked fine without incident for several weeks. Yet last weekend I left it overnight again and it died.either the shop didnt find the real cause or there has been something I have not been paying attention to. I have checked all around to see if I could be leaving something on and have found nothing. What are some common devices in cars that ignored can kill the batt? Could there be any other reasons why it dies? Im almost pos im not leaving something on but mayb im missing something.
