I don't know first hand but from all I hear it won't do SQUAT. I just searched (sugar in gas tank results)and several web sites came up that said the same thing. One site mentioned an episode on Myth Busters that busted the myth.... Good Luck...

Sugar dosent really hurt your engine... that is a rumor.... first scan your computer for codes, then check all the items for a tuneup, spark plugs, clean the fuel injectors...ect.... check your oil level....

OK sugar will NOT destroy and engine.....It will gum up the injectors and the fuel system at the most a filter, pump and injectors would fix this with a flush of the fuel system...

Yes sugar can destroy the engine. Don't continue to drive the car because that makes it worse. Have it towed to the service shop.
