While reversing I dinged the corner of a Honda Accord front bumper. The bumper was cracked and there was no other damage to the lights or the hood. . Please let me know asap as I have to go to the dealership tomorrow and I don't want to get ripped off. Many thanks.

I have a slow leak and about once a week the low coolant light would come on. I would add antifreeze-would only take about a glassful to fill it up- and then light would go off. But couple of days ago it started flashing off and on constantly, even if its full. Sensor going out maybe?

I have a 97 Honda Civic EX coupe.

Should I go by certain mileage as in every 50K miles or whatever? Or should I physically go look at the pads? If so, how thin is too thin? But I remember couple times the mechanic took the pads out it still look pretty thick to me (~.25" if I remembered right) it definitely had some to go until it hits the base material. So how do I tell when I should change my brake pads?

Also, if i do change anyone of them I should change all 4 right?

Thanks!

Ok, have a car now 89 ford escort gt, very fun car, time to move on though. Probally trade in at 3-4$k Wanting either, a new VW Rabbit, or a jeep or pickup used. If I get the new rabbit, have a new job at falcon field az.

If I do get one, in a year will the smell start going away? And what can I do for my current car? Some techs. Put oil vent thing on dash in summer. Pretty good idea.

How bout new car smell? Planning on keeping it for 4 years? Perhaps more if car still running strong..

How to regain new car smell?

I have changed my timing chain tensioner 5 times on my 4 cyl. Malibu. The last time I used an older model tensioner. But i still only get 3 months before my chain starts rattling again. The newer model tensioners will stick in the retracted position. While the older model tensioner wears out the shoe very quickly. I am at my wits end on this. Could someone please help me with this problem. I am so tired of replacing this tensioner every 3 months. Thanks for any input.

It has started heating when I drive on the roads constantly braking but not at all when I drive up and down on a freeway. I recently had the water pump replaced, and see the coolant level at about half the coolant tank so want to add some additional coolant myself.

why is a limited slip differential so important in drifting and stuff. i know its good to have, but why exactly. what are the advantages and disadvantages of one. and do cars normally come with one, because im driving my mothers 2000 ford focus and according to howstuffworks.com, it would be hard to turn the car without one, and it doesnt seem difficult at all. does that mean it has one.

I have a 2000 Xterra w/ 64000K. I just recently got it fixed after being in a wreck. Everything worked perfect for about 3 days. Now I notice that every time I stop, especially when I put it in park, a lot of white smoke seaps from under the hood right in front of the passenger side closer to the windshield than the front of the car. I have started to smell Anti freeze in the car and strong outside of it, but there are no puddles or any sign of it leaking coolant. However the last time I stopped in my driveway I could hear something sizzling somewhere under the hood, but never could figure out where. It was something obviousley leaking out. Has anyone ever had trouble with this before on Xterra's? or is it most likely something that was caused from my wreck?

I have a 2001 Grand Am GT with 85k miles on it and I usually baby the car(I take off at 2k rpm's or less alot) but it seems that when I floor the car a couple times(6k is my redline) the car tends to run alot better and smoother and even starts up really quick. Sometimes it takes a couple seconds for the car to start but after I floor it the car will start up smoothly and quickly.

Why does my car perform better when drivin hard? and am I doing any damage to the car when I floor it? I wanna try to get atleast 200k out of her.
