i own a shop,and i own a 98 model,if its doing that you have a bad short in it somewhere that needs to be found,you need to take it to a good shop that knows about electrical,and have them take a look at it,there's something that has got crossed up in it,that's causing this to happen,good luck,i hope this help,s.
