You need to include the make and year. But a couple wild guesses. maybe a vacuum leak, long shot would be an O2 sensor, it is very difficult to say with out looking at it. You are better off asking around for trust worthy mechanics in your area

Some times you can pull into a Auto zone or Advance Auto and they will hook up a small device and check it out for you for free ,the device will tell them exactly what the problem is ,so when you go to a mechanic you yourself will know if he is robbing you with a wrench , Sounds like an oxygen sensor ./ God Bless

I doubt absolutely everyone on YA ought to respond to your question. All politicians are experts at hiding their ideas, thoughts and reasons. it extremely is a great part of their pastime. i might desire to have self assurance that he's familiar with endured enhance of oil drilling, interior the face of climate substitute and the Gulf oil catastrophe, is insane. each and every president on account that Nixon has spoken of the cost of ending our habit to grease. meanwhile, the form of option, renewable potential supplies has been 10 years off for over 60 years. Ethanol grow to be Bush's brainstorm btw, no longer Obama's . in line with danger it extremely is time we positioned image voltaic, wind, hydro, geothermal, electromagnetic etc, on the rapid music and ultimately kill and bury all fossil fuels and nuclear for solid. this may well be greater handy to end if we evolve, as persons and as a species, previous capitalism, greed, conflict and the assumption of own wealth first. If we'd like our species to have of undertaking at long term survival we ought to at last could start up questioning and performing like one. No time like the present.

If it is carby it may just need the idle jet adjusted, or your fuel pump on your carb is on the way out.
If it is the idle jet, 2 seconds work probally $10, or if it is the other maybe around 150

Hopefully it's the TPS, or the Idle Air Control valve.
Does it run properly except for idling?

My husband is a Mechanic and he said he thinks it's the throttle position sensor. and it's about $35.00. One would need to look at it to really say. Where you from?
