I asked a question earlier, but now I realize I don't think this is a transmission or clutch problem, because the engine seems to be misfiring when it idles (it started when I was going up a hill)

Does anyone know if this is serious? Could I be left stranded if I drive somewhere? Actually, this reminds me of when the ignition coils went.

My previous question:
I have a 2002 VW Jetta (turbo).. and today it started to lose power and vibrating in second gear going up a steep hill. The check engine light also flashed a few times. After the steep hill it was ok (I didn't accelerate hard anymore to make sure I don't damage anything). Any idea what this could be?

Also, I noticed after going into 1st or 2nd gear it felt a bit jerky.

Thanks

Starting my Solara usually takes two attempts. When I turn the key nothing happens. No clicking or nothing. The dashboard lights come on as normal. Everything appears normal but nothing happening. The second time I turn the key, it starts right up. I've replace the battery, pulled the starter and had it checked at AutoZone. I replaced the battery cables and connectors. I checked all the connections for tightness. And I checked the ignition switch with a meter as best I could. So what's next? Is there a relay I should be checking? Does anyone have any suggestions?

It's a 95 Pontiac Bonneville. It's been happening alot recently. I am driving and then all of a sudden the steering wheel gets hard and then it dies. I just put it in neutral and turn the ignition and it starts up again but I would really like to know what's wrong with it and how it can be fixed. Any mechanically knowledgable people out there who can help me?

Haynes repair manual says to have a shop do it for me and Autozones's on-line repair guide says it's not replacable, but they sell the ball joint. My daughter drives my grandson around in this car and is flat broke. I need to save money but don't want to put anyones life at risk.

I have a rear wheel drive '88 astro van. It's stuck in the snow. The question is only one tire is spinning, the other is stuck.
I have not had any trouble driving the vehicle in the snow, so I know that both rear tires were spinning before.

It was only parked for a few hours.

Whats the matter?

Any ideas at this point are good ideas, I have NONE.

My wife doesn't drive her car very often. She hardly drives 1500 miles in 5 months. The rest of the time her car sits in the garage. She only drives to the local shopping malls and stores - maybe 3 times a week. Since he never reaches 3000 miles in 3 months, does she still need to change her motor oil every three or four months? How long can she safely wait between each oil change?

I just bought a used 2005 scion tc from Bill Penney Used Cars; they were supposed to fix the wheel bearing before I received it. Well according to the howling noise coming from my front right tire and the tire pressure alert coming on even after I fill up my tires, obviously this wasn't done. would it be safe to wait a week or so to get it fixed? Or could I do it myself for cheap?

My warranty is out, so I will have to pay for all future services. I should have thought about it before I bought the "fancy" ride. Oh well, gotta suck it up now. Ive heard from 65 to 1000 for regular old normal oil change nothing major. Also, any one have any major or common issues with this car?

I bough the car at a used car lot it had 24000miles,pre owned certifiewarrenty and extended gold warenty from a compine throught the carlot. the other day oil came out of the bottom of the car (not a hole from damage to the oil tank). I took it to an authorized dealership/service for doge, it is covered under factory warranty up to 36000 miles it has 27211 on it now. The dealership told me that the camshaft had play in it and broke it so the engine needs to be replaced. the new one will not be their till Tuesday or Wednesday. The rent a car that the dealership told me to pick up, needs to be back on Monday??? That’s a whole other thing.. Dos the same problem needs to brake 3 times in order to do lemon law? Also will my new motor warranty start over or do I only get the difference in miles to the 36000..is the new engine warranty under mopo 2 year or 25000 miles what do you think???

I have a car that was lowered using differnet springs to the standard ones

but sadly one broke and i couldn't get a replica spring to match the previous one...

so i put the standard ones on the front.. but now the front is higher than the rear suspension now and it looks silly,

the back has locked supension so its not possible to raise it up or replace..

so i was wondering is it possible to CUT DOWN THE SPRINGS on the front to lower the car to balance with the back ???? is this wise... what do i do ?? i have tried all car dealers and breakers but it is an import, so getting the parts is hard..

any help would be great... what to do..

(when i jacked the car up and rotated the rear tires i could clearly see how the pinion-differential connection appeared to be lose. how can i fix this problem?) o this is on a 2000 v6 mustang, my other one doesnt have this problem.
