hopefully it is not rusted out , some 80's Cherokees were terrible for tinworm infestations

Yes, probably a bolt needs tightened. If you have an auto shop that you have frequented for oil changes, tires, rotations call them let them know what the problem is and ask them if they can look at it. If you have a mechanical aptitude this should be an ez fix.

YES MORE LIKELY THAN NOT LOOSE BOLTS THAT HOLDBUMPER OR BRACKETS HAVE COME LOOSE YOU PROBABLY HAVE TO BUT A CAN OF RUST REMOVER SPRAY FOR BOLTS
