ok, i think i have the most stupid question ever asked in the history of yahoo answers. I just bought me a 1996 Monte Carlo, and i got wiper fluid cause well duh, didn't have any, i open the hood and low and behold I CAN'T FIND THE DARN CANTINER to put it in any one have a clue?!?

I don't have a Monte, but look for a white plastic containter usually on the left or right side...up front close to the headlights and it should have a black cap on it with a "picture" of wipers on it

as said above the only stupid question is the one not asked , it's better than the headlight fluid questions I've seen, process of elimination , it's not the power steering reservoir , brake reservoir, or the one marked engine coolant only, the lid should pop off easily and say windshield washer fluid or show a wiper , other than that go to a dealer and play dumb , you will boost some guys ego today ( and that's what most guys are all about , no ? ) good luck , keep learning , cars are only intimidating if you know nothing about them, a Haynes manual will help immensely.

The only stupid question is the unasked one. Look at the bottom side of your windshield wipers, under the hood. See that plastic water line hooked up there? Follow it. The other end of that is where the water comes out of...ta da...the plastic tank that you're looking for. Take off the cover and fill that puppy up now.

you should be able to find it somewhere close to the fender well of the vehicle. It may have a sign on it that looks like windshield wipers. hope this helps?
