I had it serviced by a reputable mechanic and replaced fuel vent relay. Light came back and he moved a vent line. Light came back as scheduled at approxamately 700 miles? Gas cap tight and checks good. The computer says it is in the evap system.

MY 1985 FORD THUNDERBIRD GOES DEAD EVERYTIME I STOP AT A RED-LIGHT, OR A STOP-SIGN, OR EVEN IF I AM JUST DRIVING SLOWLY OR ATTEMPTING TO STOP. THIS CAR WAS BOUGHT NEW IN 85 BY MY AUNT WHO WAS THE ONLY OWNER UNTIL SHE GAVE IT TO ME. (IT'S NOT MY PRIMARY CAR, I JUST WANTED TO KEEP IT AND FIX IT UP.)IT ONLY HAS 50,000 MILES ON IT. A LOT OF WORK AND MONEY HAS WENT INTO THE CAR. OVER THE SUMMER, I HAD A NEW MOTOR PUT IN. MOST OF THE CAR HAS REPLACED AND NEW PARTS. HOWEVER, IT HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF NUMEROUS SHOPS B/C OF IT GOING DEAD. AND BELIEVE ME, IT WOULD GO DEAD AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY IT HAD; EVERYTIME I WOULD STOP AT STOP-SIGN, RED-LIGHT,EVERYTIME I GOT BEHIND A SLOW CAR, EVERY SINGLE TIME IT WOULD DIE, EVEN WHEN I DROVE AT A SLOWER SPEED. SOME OF THE MOST TRUSTED MECHANICS HAVE RETURNED IT TO ME "FIXED", ONLY 4 ME 2 DRIVE A FEW MILES & IT WOULD DIE AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT HOOKED UP TO A MACHINE, THEY SAID NOTHING IS WRONG AND THEN SCRATCHED THEIR HEADS. ????

My 91 caprice says it can accept size 205/75/15 or 215/75/15. or ltz suspension size 205/70/15 or 215/75/15. what will the difference be? better handleing? or what size would be better for winter , and my main concern is i dont want those skinny lookin tires,you know what i meen..please help. Im all confused with all these numbers and what meens what and looks like what then,,thanxx

What happens is when I am driving 65 MPH down the highway and I give it a lot of gas instead of going faster right away the RPM's will just go sky high. Further more it makes me not accelerate fast at all (cannot peel if I wanted too). This problem is only recent so I am wondering what it is. Is this my clutch or what?

My friend has a 93 Toyota Corolla, automatic. 150,000 miles in it. Rattleing noise is coming from under the hood (sounds like from right behind the firewall) and it makes the back of the roof vibrating too. when he accelerates it makes the rattleing worse. When he puts it in reverse it stops.

I have a 1980s truck and the engine is pretty dirty. My friends have told me to pressure wash it, but i think that would cause problems. is it safe to pressure wash an engine while it is still in my truck? i also heard that coke~cola works as a good engine cleaner. what is the best way to clean a dirty engine.

When say, I accelerate (up hill mainly) I can hear what sounds like metal knocking in the engine area....
The oil looks fine, so Im a lttle confused..... (pistons??)

I have a 1997 Nissan 200SX SE. It has 120,000 miles in it. Regularly checked and maintained. Just had the spark plugs replaced. It idols high when stopping at a light then goes back to normal then idols very high again until I push on the gas pedal. Any idea what the cause can be? I don't have a reliable mechanic and hope I can get an idea about the problem before I take it to the shop.

I have a 03 Nissan Altima with approximately 96,000 miles on it, and my warranty ended at 75,000 miles/3 year. Just recently I let my mother use the vehicle for the weekend in which she had a crackhead boyfriend at the time in which I wasnt aware about, well anyway she lended him the car in which he didnt ever return back with it that following weekend. So now I have a crackhead with my altima, luckily I have a GPS chip installed just in case the vehicle was ever stolen so I went to go rent a vehicle and went personally to go get my stolen vehicle, I found him and I was on a chase with him from Dallas,TX to about 15 minutes from the border of Oklahoma, during the chase were exceeding of speeds of around 95 to 130 mph (during the whole way, there werent any police in sight which was crazy) I was in a 3.5 dodge 06 charger, I got him to stop and he got out the vehicle and ran away and latter was arrested. Now so I get my car back and notice that the engine light is on also im late.

I have a 1995 Chevy 1500 shortbed, 5 speed tranny, dirt f*cking slow. Also, will the tranny line up with the newer, bigger engine? And does anything need to be done about the rear-end ratio.
