Service engine light comes on at approx. 700 odometer miles on a '99 chevy lumina w/3.1L?

I had it serviced by a reputable mechanic and replaced fuel vent relay. Light came back and he moved a vent line. Light came back as scheduled at approxamately 700 miles? Gas cap tight and checks good. The computer says it is in the evap system.

evap code may be hard to fix. i had a few with vent valve problems. ask your tech if he checked this.

Your mechanic needs a service manual that tells codes and how to fix them. Once they are fixed you must turn off tue light with the computer code reader.
