look no more. It is between the the alternator and the firewall kind of under the alterntor. On the passenger side. Also under the hearter hoses. You should check it cold other wise you will burn your wrist or hand. Best to just feel under the alternator for the cap. If you look really hard and put some light in there you should see it. Also it helps to have a long skinny funnell if it needs to be filled.

There is a possibility the power steering fluid is feeding off the Transmission. I had a 1980 Buick Electra that did this. I am not sure if GM resurrected this idea again or not. I remember there where a number of problems with this set up. constant leaks, Phantom steering on down shifts. It was terrible, It was that car that helped me make the decision to never by GM again. Best way to find out if to follow the hoses from the rack and pinion and see where they go.

Run don't walk from any "professional", whatever that means, that can't solve this problem.
I thought most shops had service manuals available.
There should be an owners manual in the glove compartment.
If not, I agree, call the dealership. I bet they don't know either. Never go to a dealer except for warranty work. They generally employ "mechanics" who can't hack it elsewhere.
It seems a simple matter to trace the hydraulic lines from the steering mechanism to whereever they go ??

If you don't know where the fill location is, how do you know it needs fluid or what kind ???
