I have a 1995 Chevy 1500 shortbed, 5 speed tranny, dirt f*cking slow. Also, will the tranny line up with the newer, bigger engine? And does anything need to be done about the rear-end ratio.

The 4.3 is essentially a smallblock Chevy V8 with two cylinders lopped off. This is a pretty easy swap.

REAR END MIGHT BE FINE....TRANY MIGHT BE FINE BUT YOU MAY HAVE TO CHANGE TORQUE CONVERTER.....ENGINE-MIGHT HAVE TO CHANGE MOTOR MOUNTS & MIGHT HAVE TO MOVE MOUNTS...HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD RULER AND LOTS OF PAPER....MEASURE EVERYTHING "TWICE" THEN YOUR READY..GOOD LUCK..
