What happens is when I am driving 65 MPH down the highway and I give it a lot of gas instead of going faster right away the RPM's will just go sky high. Further more it makes me not accelerate fast at all (cannot peel if I wanted too). This problem is only recent so I am wondering what it is. Is this my clutch or what?

Yes your clutch is going out!

The clutch is slipping and either needs adjustment or replacement. Could possibly be the rear end too but you'd generally hear alot of noise driving down the road.

Just by saying the phrase "peel out" tells me that you burned up the clutch material. better have it replaced real soon before you hit metal. Then you will be replacing a lot more than a clutch.
good luck.........

If you have a brand new 2010 Mazda 3, wouldn't an issue like this be covered under warranty? That sort of issue is unacceptable for a brand new car.

correct , you are loosing your clutch. do not "cheap out " on this repair , get a new clutch disc, pressure plate and throwout bearing, as well be prepared to have your flywheel re-surfaced if you or your mechanic discover "bluing" on the flywheel surface. try not to "peel out" it eats these components as well as your u-joints/CV joints
