My car is at MR Clutch and the mechanic claims the slipping clutch has damaged the flywheel and it'll need grinding back at a cost of £49.99? Is he telling me the truth?

I need to replace the stalk on the steering column that does the wiper, indicators and beam. To get to it, I need to remove the airbag on the steering wheel. Can anyone tell me how to do this safely? eg. is it attached by clips so that I could just pull it off?

...the rhythm of the clunking goes faster each time I shift to a higher gear (5-speed std, '94 Accord LX Coupe). Sounds like it's coming from the front end.
It doesn't happen when I keep my foot off the gas, but it happens when I maintain or increase the gas during and or after turns.
Sounds almost exactly like my former broken engine mount, only happens more when I turn right and sometimes left (the engine mount clunked ONLY when I turned left before).
She's due for an oil change so I'll check the mounts when I'm down there, but what else could it be?
The thing that makes me doubt that it's the other engine mount is that the frequency of its hauntingly similar clunking noise was related to the engine rpm, and this present clunking noise relates directly to the car's speed.
Lots of shady mechanics around here. What knowledge can I bring to the shop? Help! Thanks!

When you turn the car key WITHOUT actually starting the engine, you can still use the A/C and listen to CD or radio, right? But somebody said that will hurt the car, and it is better if i actually start the car (start the engine) and use them (while parked). Is this true at all?

I am trying to fix my MPV, and I think the water is flowing backwards, the top hoses are cold when the bottom hoses are screaming hot. I have replaced the thermostat and the radiator already. Is it possible for a water pump to run backwards??

Besides regular and on time servicing. Does it help, if we put it on "neutral" each time while waiting at the traffic light?

Oh my gosh! I have barely had this car for a year and checked it on vehix.com with the VIN to see what its history was. So far the darn "check engine" light has gone off, the "low tire" light and now the "change oil soon" light goes on. the engine is fine, had it checked. my husband checked all four tires according to manual and fixed it but that didnt go off until the last oil change in september which is odd because now the change oil soon light is on. i checked the oil level yesterday and it was fine. do i have a serious problem with this car or what do you think?

I want one that's as big as you can get, crew cab long bed 4x4, but i don't want a dually. i'm wondering which is better from that time, the chevy w/ the 6.5 liter Detroit Diesel, or the Ford w/ the 7.3 liter Powerstroke. any thoughts/experience? i've heard good things about both these engines.
