We have had two Picassos. I keep a record of all diesel that I buy and have found that the first (over a three year period) gave 47m.p.g. and the present one (over 2 1/2 years) is giving 43 m.p.g.

In normal driving conditions it should be between 45-55mpg. In stop-start driving or motorway driving it will use more fuel obviously. Either way for a fairly large vehicle they are excellent on fuel. A 1.6 petrol Picasso only averages 35mpg approximately.

Depends how fast you drive, the most economical speed is 55mph.
