safety for who? you or the engine? just don't scald yourself. Remember, dropping the pressure of a sealed container(by opening the rad.cap) lowers the boiling point.

If you get coolant in your eyes, rinse them out with the hose very thoroughly. If you spill any coolant dilute it down to nothing unless you want to be a seeing eye human for your dog. You can't always wait for the water to cool down when you're flushing several times so wear gloves when you open the drain valve.
If you really feel the need to open the radiator cap hot, use a big, thick folded towel and just open it a little bit. That will let the pressure out. You'll have to push down to get it all the way off.

Wear safety glasses and drain when the engine has cooled down. Be sure to take the old coolant to the proper place for disposal.

has to be cold radiator,dont spill any cause it KILLS animals dead.tastes very sweet,but deadly.cats dogs everything loves it.orange dex-cool?i bet!
