Yes, with throttle body cleaner (in a can). Remove the air intake ducts/hoses leading to the throttle body. With engine off, open butterfly and spray inside to remove the carbon buildup. Reassemble and start engine. It's that easy.

Buy a spray can of throttle body cleaner. Remove the intake hose. With the engine off... hold it wide open and spray it liberally. Try to get it clean around the edge where the blade closes and behind it. You also probably have an idle control valve near the plate, be sure it is not plugged.. Lastly many problems of rough idle or performance is because of a dirty mass air flow sensor. It is a very delicate sensor with a small hair size wire that is in the intake tube going to the T.B. It can be cleaned (very carefully) with electronic cleaning spray.

Spray WD-40 in there, and plenty of it. Both engine running and off. Careful tho if you spray with engine off. When you do start the engine, which you should do right away before it dries up and re-deposits, watch out because it can flare up in a big ball of flame. No big problem 'cause the flare up is brief, if intense. Never seen it start a fire 'cause it's over so quick, but if you got your head in there you'll come out bald with no eyebrows. Works good on hard starting engines too
