I want one that's as big as you can get, crew cab long bed 4x4, but i don't want a dually. i'm wondering which is better from that time, the chevy w/ the 6.5 liter Detroit Diesel, or the Ford w/ the 7.3 liter Powerstroke. any thoughts/experience? i've heard good things about both these engines.

Ford. Even a Chevy from those years will be utilising a distinct engine that what you had in 'ninety six. do not get a Ford older than ninety 9 because ninety seven they were transformed and also you don't want the first couple years of any new type motorized vehicle. After that you will be in basic terms high quality. circumvent transmissions were crap decrease back then so stay faraway from them. diverse human beings appeared to have problems with them.

The Ford has a stronger chassis and the Powerstroke is a better engine. It sounds like you're looking for capability and not worried about body style like some wienies.

i own a repair shop, and both of these are doing really well right now but as for choice i think the Chevy might be a better choice i think the body style is better looking than the ford is,and the Detroit diesel is a real good engine to have in there,i think it gives less problems than the power stroke does, but you never know,id drive both of them if i could find what i wanted and see which one i liked better, good luck on finding one ,i hope this help,s.

7.3 Powerstroke, this mule has plenty of torque for pulling and has a great track record for lasting many, many miles, 300,000 and beyond.
