Car: 96' Isuzu rodeo V6 3.2L engine (automatic transmission)

Problem: It all started with the a/c. When one wanted to turn on the ac no air would come out from the vents.
A day later the check engine and battery light came on the dash. We noticed that the volt reading on the dash was by 8. That being the case, both the alternator and battery were changed. Even with the new alternator and battery in place the volt reading on the dash was barely 10. So far we have taken the alternator to 2 different places and they tell us that its good, but the battery is being drained dead. If the problem is due to burned links how does one go about finding this out?

as for the ac not blowing any air, what could the answer be? ( fan clutch?)

is there a correlation between the ac problem and the battery being drained , or do advance auto part workers not know how to test alternators, and THATS the problem?

sorry for the long post, your responses will be greatly apreciated

At least that's where the sound seems to come from. Each turn one click. But nothing else. Have tried jump starting it. Actually replaced solenoid thinking something was wrong with that. All electrical parts seem to work that I can find. Have checked all fuses including under the hood. Have never had any problems up til now with it starting.

A lid on the pickup came off while being towed by a wrecker. It was ran over by a 18-wheeler and damaged beyond repair. The wrecker driver claims it is not his fault because the lid was not locked prior to him towing. Is the wrecker driver liable or am I at a complete loss?

I have a 1989 Lincoln Town Car and almost every time I sit in idle or slow down to come to a stop it stalls. It's a real pain in the rear.

I have 1996 Toyota Rav4 with 265K miles on it. I'm getting error code P1770 and the car starts to jerk above 40mph. It get worse when I level off on the speed(cruising). It seems to help if I accelerate and then decelerate continuously, and it's less noticeable at speeds above 75mph. It also seems to get worse as the temperature drops (90 degrees and up it never jerks). I've changed the air temp sensore, plugs , wires, cap, and rotor, air filter, fuel filter, and cleaned the EGR tube. I checked the fuel pressure with a guage (it tested at a steady 54lbs for several minutes) so I know that the fuel pump is fine. The only P1700 code in the Hanes manual is for the transmission, so this is no doubt a transmission code, but for what? Anyone run into this before?

Mine did. I was stranded at school with no one to call. With no other choice I read the manual (2005 Chevy Aveo) and it told me to turn off the car, put on the parking brake, stick my key into this little hole next to the gear shift stick (automatic), hold it in there and move the gear out of park. I had to be gentle because it felt like I would break it if I tried to hard to force it.

It worked!! But every time I parked for the rest of the day I had to do the same process over again. The manual said to have it fixed as soon as possible but then the next day it was just fine. No problems since.

Do I still need to get it fixed? Does this same thing happen with other new model cars?

It never happened with any of my other cars ever. I have never even heard of this problem.

My break lights were intmetent when pedal was depressed all the way down. Replced the switch and now no lights. Put back in the old switch and still no lights what so ever. I did not disconnect the battery when I did the orginal swaps. Checked fuses. Did replcing the switch without diconnecting the battery first fry somthing? If so what do I do?

Hi all, I have a car locking problem and I have been informed that the problem lies with the solenoid.
Where is it?
I assumed it must be in the door but stripped it down and nothing there.

I drive a Ford Cougar V6.
I can't afford a mechanic!!!!

Thanks.

I have a 1998 ford econovan 2lt carby model it returns me between 19.5 and 22.5 lts per hundred. I had the gas fitted 15 months ago when the car had only 28,000 kilometres on the clock it now has 52,000 and the fuel consumption seem to be getting worse I had it tuned just recently by the installers, the auto transmission seviced, and new tyres fitted so every thing is tip top. I have heard that setting the timing to a little advanced or retarded may help although the installer said he attended to this( I do not have alot of faith in my installer) It seems to me that I have lost power since the tune up both on petrol and gas, when it was first installed it seem to provide better economy and power. I live in Hobart.
