sounds like ur on the right track - uve checked battery and tried to jump battery if that did not change anything then the battery in ur car is ok - u changed solenoid - black one on fender under hood? - if so then make sure car is in park, key out of ignition, jump the 2 large terminals on the solenoid for a second with a large metal object (usually a screwdriver is used) - this bypasses the solenoid but make sure the metal object is bigger in diameter than the posts. if the starter does not crank then follow the wire from the solenoid to the starter - ur starter has a solenoid as well. when u locate the starter u again will see two big posts - agian car in park no keey in ignition - jump those two posts with screwdriver or other metal object - if the starter does not crank and scare the crap out of you then its the starter that need replacing. p.s. check battery ground cable for tight clean connection first and expect a spark to jump while jumping posts. (elctricity follows the least path of resistance so dont worry about being shocked it will only travel between the metal object and the two posts) p.s.s. dont let the object touch any other metal parts but the posts !!!

I had the same problem in my honda accord 95 LX. I also heard a click and thats it. It is the starter. Im possitive. If you want to start it, locate it and hit it with a metal stick. Not too hard, but enough to release the two metal plates. What happens is that inside the starter, there is a bunch of stuff but there are two metal plates that stick together to make a circut to start the car, but sometimes, they stick together and wont come aprt, that is what hapened here. hit it a couple of times with a metal stick and drive and pick up a new starter. its like a 2 hour job but you wont have any problems come winter.

it is a Ford, yet i'll objective to assist. verify to make certain in case you have skill from the significant to the solenoid. If definite, then verify the two cable connections at the two ends. If no, then the subject is possibly the swap, or relay. Do any lighting fixtures furniture or buzzers come on while the base line is grew to become on? If no longer, verify the nice and cozy twine to the significant, and your fuses or breakers.

Pull the battery cables off the battery, clean the posts and the clamps with steel wool or sandpaper, put them back on. Check the water level in the battery, if you have such a battery. Jump start the car, and you may very well have solved your problem. If not, have the charging system checked.

When the solenoid clicks that means it is working. The starter has gone bad, just replace the starter.

Well me, I own a 94 Ford Tarus. It didnt start one morning so I got a ride that day. Came home, it worked fine when I tried it, haven't had a problem since. But I would wait until Monday to take it in, who knows, it might fix itsself like mine. And you know the mechanic will charge you an arm and a leg for all the fees, whether theres a problem or not. GOODLUCK!

If the solenoid just clicks, either the starter moter is not getting enough power, i.e. weak battery, bad cable etc., or the the starter motor itself is bad.

This just happened to our truck at work. The battery was tested at the cable terminals and tested weak. We took it to the place where it was purchased and they cleaned the battery terminals and retested. The battery was fine and they cleaned the connections. That was all it took, starts and runs great!
