hi i have a 2006 BMW i currently moved to Germany and the weather is cold and snowy. what can I do to help protect the paint? Can not washing the car for a while mess up the paint job. Should i put a car cover on the car when it snows. could you give me some ideas please I'm kinda clueless on the up keep of my paint job? A lot have people have already scratch my car and I haven't even had it for three months yet? Any ideas? Oh i also have hard water stains on my car from when it rains do you know how to get that off with out hurting the paint?

I have a deep scratch about 12 inches long on the front wing of my Punto. Would it work out cheaper to have a new wing fitted or have it repaired? It's a Y reg so I assume the paint will have faded slightly, would this be difficult to match up? How much would a paint repair cost?
