It will be fine if you drain your carb and change the oil. Also, if you have a battery, you might want to get a battery tender to keep the battery up while you're gone. But, the most important thing is to drain that carb. Turn off your gas, let the bike run until it runs out of gas, then turn open the screw on the bottom of the carb and let the little remaining drain out, then tighten the screw back up.
Good luck at college.

All internal combustion engine will suffer damage if, left for months with out the oil being circulated,,,if you are not going to be using it for awhile check with the dealer about prepping it for winter, Gas Oil and Battery all need to be prepped, and light oil needs to bath the cylinder walls. should be affordable...but if not remove the battery, store at between 50 and 65 degrees on a piece of wood or plastic. " Not metal or concrete", remove the spark plug and put in a 1/2 table spoon "T" of light weight oil 20w or less, and turn the engine over several times, kick start do this once a month. drain all gas cloths all valves to the fuel supply or ad a fuel preservative and fill it up..but no fuel should be left in the carburetor or fuel injection system...It takes a bit of work but saves a lot of wear and tear on restart in the spring and do this every year, and it will extend the life of your scooter by 5 to ten years.
