many service centers will accept used antifreeze and motor oil. call around and see. usually there's no charge for bringing in your old stuff. I know Sears used to accept it.

Collect the old anti-freeze in a plastic container (used milk bottle etc.) and take it to city toxic waste disposal site. most cities have free disposal sites where they manage/accept surplus/unused paint/any chemicals/items like anti-freeze. What ever you do, please do not dump it down the kitchen sink or any other drain since it contaminates water that ultimately ends in streams/rivers and oceans. Hope this helps-DKG

Take it to a recycling center. Never dump antifreeze into the environment. Antifreeze picks up heavy metals such as lead during use in the engine. Spills should be cleaned up immediately.

Take it to a recycling center. You can take it to a car shop or call your county public works dept. Do NOT dump or put in down the drain/sewer.

I have an ****** neighbor so when he's not around I dump my antifreeze in his yard. I know I shouldn't do things like that but you don't live next to this guy and don't know what he's like. The right thing to do of coarse is to take it to a service station or dealership. Some places won't even charge you anything to dispose of it.

You got some pretty good advice here!! I wanted to add that antifreeze is highly toxic yet sweet tasting. Whatever you decide, please keep it in a tight container that won't leak. Even a drop or two consumed by a cat or dog will send the animal into respiratory failure and kill the animal.

Take it to a facility that can properly dispose of it. Whatever you do, don't dump in the back yard some place. This is illegal, and if you're caught, you can face a stiff fine.

Save it in a secure place and use it for topping off your radiator later on. It's a chemical so it won't go bad. If you don't want to do that, then take it to any quick oil change place. They should take it off ytour hands for nothing. If they don't, then find someone who does.
