I have a 1969 VW type 2 bus and if I leave it off for more than two days, the battery is completely dead. No electronics that I know of are on in the car. How do I prevent the battery from going dead in the future? I don't want to have to disconnect the battery everytime I park the car. I just want the problem fixed. Thank you.

i purchased a new vehicle at the end of June and its already dead and in the shop. The vehicle was sold "AS IS" but the mechanic told me that its a pre existing condition and so the AS IS doesnt apply. Should the dealership who sold me my car give me my money back?

I had my car taken in to a dealer, because my car wouldn't start. They diagnosed the car, and said it was the battery. They put in a new battery, well come to find out it may be the charging system, because the battery won't keep a charge. Now they want to do another diagnosis which is going to be another $85. Do I have to pay for another diagnosis if they did one already. It's not my fault they didn't diagnose it right the first time.

If it's been sitting for a while, it will start fine. If it's been started/running recently, it will not start. It will turn over at the correct speed, but will not start.

We've checked the battery. The alternator is still relatively new. The oil was changed recently. We replaced the starter kit a couple years ago. I think that's everything...

Can you change the Head Gasket by yourself or is it a complicated job for the mechanic only? Where is it located on a 89 Accord engine, and what tools would i need if i am doing it by myself?

Also, is the thermostat easy to replace on this car? If so, is it easily accessible within the engine? Where is it located, and what tools do i need for the job?

Recently rented a car on holidays from car rental company. Proceeded from collection point on the 4th floor of carpark out onto a slip road for approx 200 yards.

Smoke billowed out of engine. Had car replaced. Return from holidays to find company had taken €1,200 from my visa account for damage to "clutch system caused by renter"
as opposed to the car being faulty!

I had the car for about 2 mins and I am no novice driver.

Any advice on how i should challenge this payment or my consumer rights would be appreciated.

I have a 1992 Chevy Cavalier ( i know, a sweet ride lol) and lately it has been dying on me. It happens sporadically and only after i have driven for quite some time. it starts to buck and when i stop the car it dies. after it dies, it starts right back up but as soon as i shift into gear it dies instantly. it's not the battery because when i start it the radio starts and everything else like that. anyone here have a similar problem or know what it is?? my boyfriend thinks it might be the vacuum line. thanks for the help :)
