What kind of car are we talking about? Most of the time, the connector that goes to the alternator is called just exactly that --- the alternator connector. It may also be called a charging system connector. However, if you go to any dealership or parts supply store, and give them the make and model of your vehicle and ask them for the connector that plugs into the alternator, they'll know exactly what your talking about.
