I have a 1987 VW Jetta GLi 16v. I've owned 5 Mk2 (1985-1992) Volkswagens and one Mk3 (1993-1999) VW and know them inside and out, just don't always have time to work on mine and fix a few of the things that could use fixing. If anyone has any ideas for a good, reasonable, independent (non-chain, non-dealer) VW mechanic somewhere South of Boston, MA, please post!

There are two different one's that I've seen so far. One with a group of 4 people chatting about crying during the movie, and WAM! they get broadsided, and the airbags come out. The other is like with two guys driving talking and they hit a red truck that enters traffic infront of their car. Both commercials end with the text showing at the end above the damaged vehicle, "SAFE HAPPENS"

i have a 1993 (L registration) golf that's making a ticking sound. its definately coming from the engine possible the manifold, when its in gear the sound is there all the time, if i take it out of gear then u can hardly hear it, then when the engine is idling the ticking sound is there but as soon as you pull the accelerator cable the ticking noise goes away, any mechanics on here who know whats wrong with my car?
