Can you build a skid plate for a 2000 Volkswagen Beetle?

My Beetle dosen't have a skid plate. There is a man that lives by me that owns a metal shop, and I thought he might be able to make me one. But I will need the measurements. Thanks

The sky is the limit in the hands of a talented fabricator. I build all my odd parts and have built many things that people say cant be done. Find a good metal shop and have them fabricate one for you. Hope I have been helpful.
