It should be, since it has been on sale in Europe for a couple of years as the Mk V Golf. That way, any of the early production issues are cleared out already. I love the look of it and think it will do well for them.

It looks awesome!! We have an 03 Passat and a 65 bug but the bug is getting ready to get some major cosmectic surgery LOL. So we were thinking about a 3rd fuel economical car...and then along comes the little rabbit!! The price is right and it's a V-dub so you can't go wrong!

I love it!
I'm saving up for a new car, and it's on my list -- but I've had 3 Golfs ('86, '95, '00) with over 500,000 miles combined; so even though they're like an extension of my body, I feel like I need a change.
Plus my son (and his friends) are big now (why did he have to pick basketball, couldn't he have befriended jockeys instead?), so I'm looking at crossover SUVs (but I don't like how the VW one looks in the spy shots online).
