My car doesn't accelerate like it should anymore. You would never believe it was a VW Jetta Turbo! It kind of hesitates to go, also my gas is gone in a flash!!!! I have a 2002 VW Jetta, I haven't gotten an oil change since like....October 2006 I think. Now, that I have some funds to take care of my car the way I should have done, I dont want the "Oil Experts" @ EZ Lube to tell me anything that they think I'll believe. So, if any of you have any advice, please do share! ( They told me that I needed an oil change & a fuel filter change). Thank you!

I have a 1965 VW Beetle in white colour, that has a recorded total mileage of 85,000 miles. The car's in immaculately genuine condition; having original accessories like rear and head lamps, indicators, speedometer, wheel caps etc. Only its fenders are repainted, and it shines like a new car. It has a functional PYE radio, manufactured and installed in 1966. The car was owned by my uncle, an ex-major general and Military Secretary to the President of Pakistan. He had gifted this car to me seeing my interest in Beetles. How much do you think it's worth in Pakistan (or in your country for that matter)? Christie's evaluators had put its value at 4000 pound sterlings, just by judging its condition from its interior and exterior's pictures Any suggestions?

When you turn the key but you don't start the car yet, you can hear water running in the front of the engine.

I was driving home last night and suddenly I heard a grinding noise coming from the front of my car. Could it be the wheel bearing? I managed to drive home with it squealing, (not far).
Sometimes the squealing stopped for a while then started. It got worse when I steered to the right.
Shall I take the wheel off and have a look?

It is a Volkswagen Passat TDI 1.9 Turbo Diesel. I've had the cambelt changed not long back.

Any ideas before I get the jack out or what to look for? Or a good website/forum?

Hope you can help.

The engine was just rebuilt. It runs great. The pain job is good. Not perfect, but good. The gas gauge doesn't work. But besides that it's perfect inside and out.

How much should I sell it for?

Where should I sell it?

I answered a question 4 months ago and received Best Answer (thank-you very much) and the was asked again from someone else today. The 2nd answer is from a person who used my answer, only changing a couple of words and giving credit to a repair manual!

If you think this is horrible, thumbs down the 2nd answer or report her!

Here is the post with a link in my answer to see the original!:

Hi everyone!
I've got a question concerning the battery of a VW Golf (rather a cheap model, but fairly new (2004/05)). What's the average time one can let the stand light switched on until the battery runs flat? The car is not used daily.
It would be important to know where you've got your informations form (sources, etc).
Additionally, can one not assume that a newer model (even if "cheap") would make some sort of noise if one forgets to switch off the lights?
Many thanks for your replies!

I'm looking for the price range of how much a 1983 Volkswagon Bus should cost. I looked on KellyBlueBook, but I didn't find it.

It has 110,000 miles, but 18,000 miles on a rebuilt engine. It also has a fridge, stove, and can sleep 4 people. It's in pretty decent condition.

I have a 1998 New Beetle that will not start. I was driving it just fine and one day I parked it, came out of the store and it wouldnt start. I waited a few minutes and tried it again and it finally went. This has happened a couple times but the other day I was getting read for work and was about to leave but it wouldnt start at all. The engine turns over and I can hear the fuel pump click on and all the dash lights come on but it never actually starts. Any ideas? Fuel relay switch maybe?

I just got a 1998 VW Golf GTI with a 2 liter motor and a 5 speed tranny in trade for some goods and it has 198,000 miles on it. I was wondering how much further it may go? I do know it was well maintained by the previous owners.

86 VW Vanagon, has been sitting in storage for 3 months. Now can't start it. Spraying starter fluid into air intake, it starts right away, then immediately dies, so I assume gas isn't getting through. Any ideas where I start to figure out what's going on pls?
