hi all,
something odd is going on with my friends 99 gr jeep cherokee..
one minute it starts with a lil hesitation..like there is a slight drain on the battery..battery is old and will soon be replaced.
He told me that it isn't so much the battery as the idle..???
the idle seemed to be working okay.it was like 60 degrees today..but he said the car seemed to stall on him in the morn and/or he had to press the gas to get her to turn over.
??? I thought I put some fuel inj cleaner in the tank just in case.
once again the idle seemed to be working fine.didn't really flux..stayed constant.
.then later on the car seemed to stall on me..barely turn over..and couldn't maintain any idle..bottomed out to zero.
Then later on the car started okay..turned over like before..but was idleing a lil lower on the tact than the first time I tried.
I didn't adjust anything..seems like something is sticking..any help will be greatly appreciated..

i've got a 2006 jeep wrangler and noticed yesterday that the yellow engine-shaped light has come on. i'm only 12 days over my next three-month oil change and there're only 2600 miles on the vehicle. can anyone tell me what the light being on means?

normally, i'd check the owner's manual, but i'm packing for a move and i don't know which box my owner's manual is in!

i appreciate any help you all can give.

Recently as I've begun to use the heat in my car, one day it was working and now only blows cold air. I just popped the hood and saw there was no coolant. I added about a bottle of coolant and it is still blowing. Any thoughts on what I should be checking or what this may be from?

02' grand cherokee limited V8

Problems:

1) Left brake light is not working when the park lamps are on and aslo rear left park lamp goes off at same time. When the park lamps are off everything works fine. I understand that the problem is not the bulbs.

2) Passenger side always flows cold air :( I tried all the combinations ( Auto, manuel, a\c, lo, hi, 80f etc...) In all conditions the right side of the climate system flows cold air.

Oh! by the way front speakers blow in 2 days (tweeters)

it looks like it is going to need to be repaired, i have been thinking about just trying to get rid of it but i'm not sure how i can do so without losing alot of money. what are some ideas other than the obvious solutions of getting it repaired or selling it? does anyone have any experiences with trade ins etc?

Without any warning signs my Jeep transmission went out at 44k miles. I got no help from chrysler. Jeep wanted to charge me $3,769.00. I was luck enough to find a great company called "Aamco" who will do it for $1,900.00.
I am going to take Chrysler to small claim court. I have nothing to lose.
Has anyone had bad experiences with there tramsmission on ther Jeep at such low mileage?
