Recently as I've begun to use the heat in my car, one day it was working and now only blows cold air. I just popped the hood and saw there was no coolant. I added about a bottle of coolant and it is still blowing. Any thoughts on what I should be checking or what this may be from?
Thanks!!!

Try having your cooling system flushed, your heater core may be blocked, and thermostat changed.

2 things to check.
1---Thermostat could be stuck in the open position.
This condition will result in the coolant not warming up.
Check thermostat.
2---The cable for the dash mounted heat adjustment knob could of
come out of the valve that controls the hot coolant flow through
the heater core. This valve is located under the dash,at the heater core radiator. Check cable and insure it is attached at both ends.Heater core could be blocked . Good luck!

If there is hot air coming from one vent and cold from another, I dont see how this can be associated with a Thermostat or coolant levels, since the hot air would be coming from the heater core. If it was the thermostat being stuck open, then none of the air would get warm. Sounds more like a diverter, in the ducting of some sort, not opening to the proper position.

It could be several things but first check the thermostat and see if it is frozen shut or wide open also check the heater core for leaks also trace the water lines to the heater core and look for leaks. also check the switch and see if it has come disconected also turn on the fan and make sure it is pumping. And last but not least check the water pump. If all this failsand it is still under warranty take it to the dealer. Good luck

You can feel the heater hoses going to the heater core, make sure they are hot, or at least the inlet on, that will be the hottest one. You could have air in your system too since it was low and then added to. Also you may need more than the one bottle that you put in.
