It goes into 4-wheel part time easily. But when I try to put it into 4-low it is extremely difficult to pull the lever down, and if I do succeed in getting it down it makes a terrible grinding sound. Do I need to be in gear? or moving? or in neural first? I have very little experince with cars, please help!!!

OK, I am looking for a black plastic part about the size of a thimble that has retaining wedges on the inside to hold the pin on the side of the clutch pedal assembly and retaining wedges on the outside to hold the pin on the side of the clutch pedal assembly into the eye hole of the actuator of the master hydraulic clutch assembly. Pretty much, pin attached to clutch pedal assembly fits into eye hole of master hydraulic clutch cylinder but falls out cause black plastic retainer is broken. I need a new one but nobody knows what I am talking about. Please tell me the part number or where I can find this thing.

Thanks

Isnt it strange? do you think the jeep guys were stoned out of their minds when they wrote it and then some big ad execs were like hey this is so youthful and cutting edge, great work, well go through production on that commercial. do you think stoners bug out when they see it? i think its hilarious

The dealer has said that the bushings in the upper control arms for a 2002 Jeep Liberty are not serviceable and new control arms must be purchased instead. They are apparently sealed into the arms somehow. Can anyone show me documentation otherwise? Please help.

Only when it rains and there is plenty of moisture in the air; when we had heavy snow, it was no problem; any ideas? As soon as the rain clears out, all systems are go; even when it was sub-zero, it starts and runs fine.

My 2002 Jeep Wrangler X, with 60K miles, stalls at an idle when I stop at a light. It also idles rough. The engine just dies, and no lights come on. Unlike when I anciently “pop” the clutch, the engine will die, but the warning lights come on.

It starts up perfectly. In fact the problem goes away if I am running the AC.

It has penty of power. Everything seems normal.

I cleaned my aftermarket air-filter, but that didn’t help. I guess I should change the spark plugs. Perhaps a tune-up is in order.

I wanted to see if it was something simple before I take it to the dealer. There is a $100 deductible on the warrantee.

2000 wrangler...2.5L auto tranny..first of all i have changed the filter and fluid 2 times...i know alot about vehicles but not auto transmissions....when you first pull out..it will kinda slip..then when shifting to second it will almost vibrate you out of the seat...then make a niose in the transmission like a rubbing sound...not gears..then will shift in to secon...then from there on out excellent.once you get out of second you can floor it..use passing gear..ect..no problems...also when locked in 4 low only..this does not occur....and one more thing..on time it had no reverse..its just like when you put it in reverse it would sit still acting like it was trying to go forward and backwards at the same time...but it stopped doing that and straighten up and went back like new on its own..this was last summer and reverse still works...only the problem i listed above...any tips or anything would be great..ty

I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the A/C went out recetnly. I had it repaired at the dealer. They stated that the "accumulator" was faulty and needed replacement. I went ahead with those repairs. The accumulator ended up costing over $200. Is the normal? Seemed high to me.

Sometimes when I am driving if I hit a bump the wheels will kick and the car will vibrate violently. Is this the steering stabelizer or am I overlooking something else. I have replaced the stabelizer several times but it only fixes the problem for about 2 or 3 months. What should I do?
