i know that i need to unscrew the two screws but it seems like it is latched onto another spot. i can't seem to figure out how to take it off without pulling on it and breaking it

Take your vehicle to your local car parts place and ask for a vehicle maintenance manual. They should have one in stock and they should allow you to take a look in the book to find out what you need. All this is free.

back into something large! no really, you may have to pull on one side first, as the other side may have some sort of tab/slot setup. or top & bottom. if that dont work you could buy a chilton or haynes repair manual from your local auto part store. about $20 bucks.good to have for referance for possible future repairs. and if no future rapairs,an added extra at selling time.
