My parents are willing to sell me their 1996 Ford Taurus pretty cheap (probably under $1,000) just to get me through the next year (from my previous posts, you can see how much trouble I've had with my current car and why I need to get rid of it.) The Taurus has 92,000 miles on it, will need 4 new tires in about 3-4,000 miles, but otherwise is in good condition. My dad always keeps up with the maintenance, and had had no major problems with it since he's owned it. He bought it new. I will probably drive it about 20,000 miles in the next year. Whatcha think?

have 98 crown vic going thru 3 to 4 qt.every 3,000 miles with no oil leak . the under side of car is very clean. i do not see it smoke but this is the only thing i can think of , but do not know what in a 4.6 will cause such a thing.

Bought 96 ford thunderbird and love the car but The engine has a plastic intake and has leaked into the intake port and bent the rod and this has happend twice now . the book showes that this car came with a v6 the 4.6L and a 302 can I put a diffrent engine in without to much trouble ?

I have a gt mustang conv and i am trying to find out if i can switch out the engine and transmission for that of a 94 thunderbirdsx. they have the same size engine but i think the tbird's tranny isn't aode and i don't know if the drive shaft is the same length. a little help please.

I need to get the oil pan off of my 1993 Ford Probe GT and that means that I have to take off my exhaust pipe which means that I have to take off some sort of support beam which blocks the exhaust pipe. I put a 17mm socket on one of the six bolts, followed by a wrench and a bar that I used for some extra leverage. When I turned the wrench, it broke off in the socket. What should I do to get the bolts loose?

My engine has the fallowing. Holley 670 cfm mechanical secondaries and choke. Edelbrock performer intake. HEI 50,000 volt distributor 1 5/8 headers. RV camshaft and 1971 351 heads. Engine has been refreshed 1978 block. Whats your guess on the horse power. I also would like your opinion on camshaft choice. Either the RV cam or my isky 221 duration with 496 lift and 108 lobe serperation. I need the most torque and power possible. I would like to drag race my car.
