The best solution to this problem would be to find a dealer who would be willing to help you. Transfer the title to the dealer and tell the birth mother that you have purchased a vehicle for her at that dealership.
The dealer will most likely be willing to take care of the title transfer, and not charge you much, as long as he is indemnified against any repair costs!

Name and address remain with the title for as long as the car is in use and being titled.
Even if you get it titled to her it will show you as the previous owner and any record searches in the future will also list you as an owner.
If you do not want your info out, find a new car to donate.

I do not know what state you live in, but some states allow you to add someone else to your title for little or no fee. When the new title comes with both names, go back to DMV and ask to have your name removed, again at little or no cost.

I don't think there is an easy way to hide the "previous owner". It is public information.
I wanted to add: I would just sell and give her the money to buy a car from a dealer. It might be more expensive then you had thought originally, but worth every penny on the long run.

Look in the phone book under titles. There are little title offices that should be able to help you, But Why don`t you ask your lawyer?
God bless & Hugs from Texas. {:-)

Title it over to a private 3rd party & have them title it to her. If she want's to do the digging she can find you. If you don't want her to find out you'll have to get a new/used one

I would call your local department of motor vehicles and see if they can help. Or speak with your adoption agency and see if they can help. Good Luck!

the only thing you can do is title the car in someone elses name or sell it, only two things DMV will accept.
