There is a special tool for this. The holes on the ICM are too small for standard tools. A Torx small enough to fit the hole is too small for the screw. Plan to pay about $8. Actually, if you have a decent auto parts store, they might have this tool that you can borrow for a minimal deposit.

If I can remember right it's a T-9.5. If you go to Checker/Kragen/Shucks they should have it in their specialty tools section. I've even seen them at Sears. Used to replace quite a few of them back in the day with the pick up coils because a few that left Ford would heat-crack over time. Make sure to use the silicone grease that comes with the new TFI module (icm module), because it transfers heat to the distributer body.

its a 7/32" socket. youmay have to go to an auto parts store to get a special tool for it. most sockets are too thick to get in the hole. I have a snap-on socket that fits

Actually a 5.5 mm socket will work
