Absolutely not. If you lose you will kick yourself forever. It's too easy to lose on that show. You would not be able to live with yourself.

And win a chevy ? I love my fords , but they cost alot. Do you want to put up a $15,000 "70 mach up against a $5,000 "88 camaro? You know I miss the old days when runnin for pinks was when you would listen to the rumble of your competitors car (or remimber who they beat last weekend)and say yes or no to a heads up start and who ever crossed the finish line first won.None of this give me 10 lengths, you cant use your nos but I can use mine, and if I still dont win the first 2 then you give me 5 more lengths. Just my two cents.

If you're the driver you will already have an idea of whether you should do this or not. How confident are you in your driving skills? If you are absolutely positive you won't choke at the light, drift half way etc. , then personally, I say go for it. As long as everything checks out mechanically and for you ...could be a once in a lifetime thing. I'm all for a good competition.

You name the time and I'll name the place and the place where the Mach 1 can be sent to. after you lose. 1969 Camaro SS 427 HotRod mag tried one out and it ran 10.29 1/4 mi.It was right off the assembly line. Not had the break-in time on the engine. Mine is.No need to go on tv and none of this BS about spotting, repair time or best 3 out of 5.We do it the old way.Roll them up and crack'em open and may the best man / woman win

if you are not used to racing, i would say not, when i was younger, when someone raced for pinks, it meant title for title, if you loose, you loose your car and you end up walking home. that is a chance you want to take, go for it, but it is hard getting a 70 mach 1, they are far and few, nowadays.

that would be something i would seriously think about.

good luck, i hope you make the right decision.

If you have lots of money,it's lots of fun to gamble. If you don't have lots of money then gamble and loose it's not fun. Remember there is always some one that can beat you. I'm a ford nut so if you want to get rid of the tang let me have it.

If you don't care about your Ford, do it. One secret men learn in time is not risking what they really care about. Good luck, you'll make the right decision.

No, the other competitors like to sandbag and do other things that are not called cheating but are close to it! I wouldn't, JMO

I'd watch! Better lean how to sandbag- but if you're runnin' 10.30's you probably know that.
