Yes. Pulling into a driveway or something is not "base". There is no invisible force shield that makes you untouchable. If you were observed in the act of an offense and officer can approach you. Lol you "turning onto property" just made it easier on him, because now he doesn't have to pull you over..

Police officers can write tickets for whatever reason, at any place. It's up to the courts to decide if what the officer cited you for was legal or not.

Also, never argue with a cop. They can detain you for 48 hours without any reason whatsoever.

If you argue with an officer they can arrest you and have you cited for "interferement." No fun. Besides they've heard it all. I've found that just being upfront and honest works the best.

If he witnessed you on the street, and followed you to the property, then yes he can give you a ticket. If not then everyone would race to get home and just pull into the driveway as to avoid getting a ticket.

From what I understand, cops cannot write tickets if something happens on private properties (accidents in a parking lot, etc.). However, if you were speeding and you parked on private property (driveway, etc.) yes ... he/she can.

You "turned onto property" right? The cop saw you do something on the highway and once that happens no matter where you go you're screwed...it's called "hot pursuit".
