I want to swap the engine on my E30....I have seen man E30's with E36 engines on it....but i want to step it up a notch....do any of you know if an M5 V8 engine will fit in there...or any V8.....

I pulled the distributor on my 97 4.3ltr gmc and like a dope forgot to mark it. Now I am trying to reset the timing but it's not going well. I set the motor at TDC#1 and the timing marks line up perfect. I used a screw driver to turn the oil pump then dropped the distributor back in so that the rotor is lined up with the arrow. Now it starts, but runs rough. I put a timing light on it and it looks like its about 20 degrees advanced. Since the distributor is not adjustable I don't know what to do next. I have repeated this process a few times to insure everything is where it belongs, but it all apears to be right. What should I do?

I have 130, 000 miles on my car. I need to change the rear hubs on the back wheels which is probably going to cost me around 400-500 dollars. This needs to be done...because evertime i accelerate beyond 50 m/hr...there is a loud noise coming from the back of the car...extremely loud...like the car is going to explode. This is bad for the engine...or so the firestone ppl say..

Need help on my Civic. An autoshop informed me that I should change my Rack & Pinion assembly because it makes certain sounds when turning. Is this true? It is not power steering. Is this the only one needed to be change? Serious answers only. Thank you in advance.

My car, Nissan Maxima, has some issues.....and I had already asked a question about coil packs and fuel injectors. So, that being resolved, I was wondering this:

The man at the repair shot (not a dealership) told me I was only running on 4 cylinders and its a V6. How is that possible? Is that possible? I bought the car used, and when I drove it home, I thought it ran pretty decent and it was fast, I think 180-190 HP. I do notice a difference when I'm driving since the coil pack and 2 fuel injectors were replaced, but I don't see how it's possible I'd be running on only four cylinders. Anyone have any insight on this?

Ok, I just got a 98' Maxima and from what ive seen so far, the same year ish' 300zx and the maxima share a jq30 motor. i could be off on the motor but is this true? if so what is ideal to take from the 300 and put on my Max? im assuming the turbo wont fit, due to the fwd/rwd set up on the max and 300? any answers that help thanks.
