Well im putting heads on my 5.0 mustang and the compression ratio is going to bumped up to 9.8. Im using MR. Gasket for the heads. Im stumped on if I should use ARP bolts or use my stock ones. Im thinking I should use the ARP because of the higher possiblity of blowing a head gasket with higher compression ratio. Am I correct is it a good idea to use ARP.

i have a '93 Pathfinder that ran with the thermostat stuck open for 40,000 miles. finally, i replaced it when i got the car from my dad, but it missed a lot and ran rough when engine was cold. now, it also misses some and runs rough when warm, too. but here's the weird part...if i turn the A/C on, the engine smoothes out...why is this?? you'd think i'd be the opposite, wouldn't you? i tried replacing spark plugs and wires, didn't help at all. my theory was that there were carbon deposits on the inside of the combustion chamber due to running cold for so long, but why does it smooth out when the a/c is on?

I have a 2001 Subaru Forester. I change the oil every 3000 miles even though I use a full synthetic. I do the same with my Toyota Corolla. The used oil from the Corolla (85,000 miles) is always clear amber, and looks good enough to re-use. The used oil from the Sube is dark, nearly opaque, nearly black. It's been that way since day one. The car has only 45,000 miles on it. The mechanic explains the difference by saying that "Subarus just burn that way." The car runs excellently, but I wonder if something is wrong. BTW, the air filter is changed every year.

I have a 2005 corolla that only gets like 200 miles per tank, which comes out to be 17 miles per gallon. Since it is advertised to be like 35 mpg on highway, and 30 in city, and I only drive on highway, what do u think it could be and what can I do about it? I took it for checkups and they said everything was ok. Please help!!
