There were certainly cars being built for the 1994 model year with air bags, some as optional equipment but without actually looking at the Olds, I do not know if the Delta did in 1994. If it has a SRS or AIR BAG logo on the steering wheel cover, then it at least had one at some point. It's best to have a certified motor vehicle technician or certified body shop technician look at it for you if you aren't sure, especially if it is a used vehicle that you are purchasing because you won't know if it's there or not without checking (even if it was built with an air bag, the vehicle could have been in an accident and the bag deployed but not replaced)

No they didn't. Feel free to pull the steering wheel off without any fear.
Seriously, do you think they could stick an airbag under that tiny horn button in the middle?

Airbags didn't exist in 1984

No! Those big boats from 1977 to 1990 never had air bags.

I don't believe anything had an airbag back in '84.

I remember having a car without seatbelts, too, but that is really going way back....well, maybe not WAY back, just back. :)
