would you buy a car with a salvage title?

I'm looking into buying a new car, and I was wondering which was better, based on others' experiences. I've heard that places such as Carmax have decent used cars, but I may need to take the risk of paying for repairs. I won't have to worry about previous owners with a new car, but from what I've seen they're just much more expensive.

(price range from 30,000+ in Northern CA,USA...) I come from an upper-class family and I don't know how to outspend everyone else. Last month we leased a BMW 530i for my wife at $600 per month for 36 months with $1500 down. The car is $51000 MSRP. Currently I am looking to lease a Nissan 350Z the base model whos MSRP is $28,500. Every nissan dealer i called i got a quote which was between $575 to $600 per montrh lease with $1500 down and 36 months. Now I am confused, my wife's caar is almost twice the price and i am leasing for $600, how can a $29000 car be the same price. guys i need honest answers and i need to know how much will be a decent price to pay for a base model 2007 nissan 350z on a $1500 down and 36 month lease. please let me know. thanks.

hi there people :) u have a vauxhall vectra ls 16v 1.8 and the catalytic converter has gone, will it ruin the car etc or anything else to that effect, and where could i get one from and is it easy to fit yourself ? appreciate any help at all tyvm :)

We got a new car, and I may buy his old one, here's the stats:
1999 Dodge Stratus
(Kelley blue book for FAIR condition is a little over 3000 dollars)
However, it has almost a thousand dollars worth of suspension work to do, and it has a broken AC.

i bought it for 800 because some1 was in a pinch..it has all the services done? and i spent probally 3 hours fixing the exaust and suspension and everything else on it and i was going to sell it but now my father wants to buy it but i dont want to rip him off but at the same time i dont want to sell it for less then i can get from somebody else how much should i ask for it or should i just sell it to someone else?

How much should I spend on a new car?!?! I’m looking to buy a new car and I’m trying to figure out what a reasonable payment/price would be for a new/used car for some one in my situation.

I’m 26 just sold my house, I’m not going to buy another one any time soon. I bring in about 4000 a month after taxes and my current expenses are around 1500 (rent, credit cards, insurance, student loans, utilities) and then another 500-700 for food / entertainment / misc. expenses. That leaves the rest for, savings (regular and 401K) and car payment.

Is $500 way to much for a car payment?!?! I have good credit and looking at my current budget it seems totally reasonable to me, but I can help but think spending 500 on a car is crazy. What do you think? What about leasing?
I’m looking to get a 2006-2007 BMW 3 series or a Lexus.
FYI:
I’m not going to buy a house because I will be switching to consulting/traveling role in the next year so I rent,with a roommateand can save more this way.
