I was thinking of getting my son a car but needed some help figuring out what car would be best for him. I'm going to get the car used and I am willing to spend at most $9500. Any ideas?

If he is novice driver, buy him a cheaper older vehicle. Something he is able to work on & make his mistakes on.

Once he's a little older & making is own money, then he can buy the vehicle of his choice, & will appreciate it if he's having to pay the bills.

I agree with the first response, Toyota or Honda, and I also like Nissans, because they are quite reliable. Also something good on gas. Teens like to travel quite a bit back and forth to each other's houses, parties, etc., especially when they get their own cars.
